High cholesterol symptoms

There are no obvious signs or symptoms of high cholesterol. If left untreated, high cholesterol can form plaques inside the arteries (atherosclerosis). This reduces blood flow to the heart, which may cause chest pain, and increases the risk of heart disease.
The plaques can rupture and form a blood clot. If this blood clot blocks the flow of blood to the heart, a heart attack occurs; if it blocks blood flow to the brain, a stroke occurs.

For the most part there are no high cholesterol symptoms until a person’s health starts to unravel. The few exceptions are fat deposits in the skin and tendons forming noticeable bumps or problems with the liver or spleen producing symptoms such as severe abdominal pain.

One of the real dangers in high cholesterol symptoms related diseases are that often times the progression is so gradual that you may not realize you have a serious problem until it is too late.

Since there are no symptoms and people do not feel pain or discomfort due to high cholesterol anyone can suffer a heart attack without knowing what caused it.

On the other hand sometimes the first symptoms occur suddenly because the blockage occurs suddenly. An example of this would be when a blood clot lodges in an artery narrowed by with plaque, cutting off blood circulation and resulting in a heart attack or stroke.

It has no visible symptoms so the sure way to prevent it is to have an orderly healthy diet. Exercise whenever possible and as often as possible. Try to remain calm, stress will not solve the problem, it is most likely that you will find a solution if you remain calm.

The most common side effect of high cholesterol is atherosclerosis. The first warning sign of atherosclerosis is chronic chest pain, shortness of breath, and any other symptoms associated with coronary artery disease.

If you are diagnosed with high cholesterol, it’s a great idea to add an all natural cholesterol supplement to your diet. You should also follow your doctor’s advice and try to limit your fatty food intake.
